Enter Danner & Flemming, a house that has turned a scientific curiosity into a masterclass in cultivation. Inspired by chemistry professor Werner Kunz and founded by biologist Marcel Flemming and farmer Christian Danner, this Bavarian house manages every step of the process—from the initial plantlet to the final extraction.

While most houses source their Iris from massive brokers, Danner & Flemming "know each plant personally." They utilize a patented, gentle drying method that prevents the "musty" character often found in aged rhizomes, resulting in a raw material that is fresher, warmer, and more potent.

Their perfumes contain an unprecedented concentration of Iris essence—between 2.5% and 4.1% of the perfume oil. To put that in perspective, Iris is one of the most expensive materials in the world; these levels are almost unheard of in modern perfumery. When you wear a Danner & Flemming creation, you aren't just wearing a fragrance; you are wearing years of rich Bavarian soil, innovative chemistry, and agricultural passion.
