Milky Dragon by Isabelle Larignon at Indigo Perfumery
Isabelle describes her inspiration: "Although already widely discussed in perfumery, tea inspired me and in particular Milky Oolong, a semi-oxidized blue tea appreciated for its buttery, woody, delicious natural aromas such as a praline hazelnut and a jammy Mirabelle plum.
An opportunity to work on the gourmet side led me towards the coumarind and lactone notes (rather than the vanilla or sticky cotton candy notes) which are very appropriate to approach this Oolong.
The challenge: to express both the delicious dry leaf of the tea and the more fruity leaf which, as the infusions progress, develops increasingly floral and vegetal notes; and at the same time, depict the vision of a garden of tea trees, caught in the morning mist, very green, with leaves as deep as shiny leather.
On the palate, the light, ample and round liqueur is floral, sweet, creamy, milky with effects of toasted brioches and hazelnuts. Over the infusions, aromas of cooked fruit, plums and jammy figs appear..."
