A purple rose hugging an iridescent violet. A chypre in an autumnal atmosphere with slight underwood notes that encloses the union of the two flowers, rose and violet. This vision suddenly gave meaning to the fragrance and it’s name.
Inspired by the 1923 version, Pourpre D'Automne has an iconic home. The bottle, designed by Lucien Gaillard, was adorned with vining leaves. He won many awards including the 1925 World Expo.
