ATELIER MATERI, a French Fragrance house founded in 2019, combines consummate craftsmanship with a contemporary vision. Inspired by the power and raw beauty of nature, Atelier Materi creations are a unique fusion of substance and style, of high quality materials and a minimalist, modern aesthetic.

Each ATELIER MATERI perfume explores a single raw material with the focus of bringing out the essence and beauty of that raw material. Whether precious, traditional or unusual, it is painstakingly refined by the perfumer to highlight its intimate nuances and innermost secrets in a unique, unisex fragrance.

Véronique Le Bihan is passionate about perfume as well as architecture and design: she views all three disciplines from the same angle, the object being to create beauty and pleasure out of matter. This creative process is the very wellspring of her inspiration.

Growing up up in Brittany, her most vivid childhood memories are of the scents of the salty seaside air, sun-warmed sand and fresh-cut grass. After twelve years spent developing cosmetics and perfumes for various clients, she decided to create her own brand, a discreet luxury brand in keeping with her ethical, social and environmental values. 

In her own words:

“In my ongoing quest for a carefully calibrated aesthetic, I aim to create perfumes that reflect who I am. I put a great deal of myself, my emotions, into my creations, each of which is unique and conceived to bring out the very best in the raw materials through the painstaking efforts of experts and specialized craftsmen.”

ATELIER MATERI flacons are of sleek design, in the signature shade of deep, dark midnight blue, bearing the ATELIER MATERI stamp of authenticity and fine craftsmanship. The cap is made of concrete, the modernist material par excellence, finished with an antique golden patina. Each piece is entirely handmade and unique.

ATELIER MATERI prioritizes three fundamental values: integrity, respect and fairness. They favor sustainable local sourcing and products made in France, and cultivate relations with their partners based on dialogue, transparency and fair trade. In the choice of raw materials, they require guarantees from their suppliers that their activities respect the environment and do not involve any testing on animals.
